For the first time in Ireland’s 17-year history of competing at the International Linguistics Olympiad 2026 (IOL) Ireland has won a team award in Bucharest, Romania in August. The team of 4 including Michael and Jacob, both from St. Kilian’s, received an ‘honourable mention’, placing 9th out of 65 teams (255 students) from 46 countries and territories. Congratulations to the team on this fantastic success!
St. Kilian’s is the only school in Ireland to have won the Senior Champion title two years in a row and to have two students making the Ireland team represent Ireland in the International Linguistics Olympiad.
