To mark Active Schools Week, the P.E. Department organised a wide range of fun activities that got everyone moving – from skipping challenges and yoga to fit-ball football and more. It was wonderful to see such a great turnout each morning from 7.45am – students, their parents and staff joining in the activities. This morning we finished off our Active School’s Week with many different activities. It was a wonderful sight, our hockey pitch filled with students, their parents & many teachers, a hive of activity everywhere. A big thank you to all for making it so special, especially the parents for their engagement. The students loved sharing the experience. A special mention to our amazing Active School’s Committee who were present and helping out every morning and a big thank you to our P.E. Department for their dedication and creativity. The hockey pitch and the gym were a simply amazing scene every morning this week.
Today we also completed our Skip Around Europe with a skipping circuit for the whole school including group skipping, a big solo jump and individual skipping exercises. Then we finished the morning off with a teacher v pupil skipping challenge which was a highlight for many. In an exciting showdown, the teachers took the win against Class 6A, while Class 6B claimed victory in the second round. Well done to all our amazing students for completing the challenge with such enthusiasm and great skipping skills over the last 4 weeks!
