On June 19th, 2025 we held a wonderful flag rising ceremony to celebrate our newly awarded Green School Flag under the theme Global Citizenship – Litter & Waste 2025. It was a lovely way to end the school year as we all gathered, accompanied by the amazing sounds of Mila’s trumpet performance, to mark this fantastic achievement for our school. St. Kilian’s was also named Regional Winner for our work on the Global Citizenship – Litter & Waste theme for 2025. The award was presented at a ceremony in Kilkenny in May, where we were also officially presented with our new Green Flag and a beautiful trophy recognizing our school’s commitment to sustainability and global awareness. Thank you to the entire school community, especially the Green School Committee and Ms Bowen, for their dedication to making our school a greener and more sustainable place.
