Yesterday, St. Kilian’s was filled with pride and joy as we celebrated the graduation of the Class of 2025. After six years of dedication, compassion and growth, our graduates marked a significant milestone in their academic journey – some even having been with us for even longer.
The day began with one of our wonderful traditions: The Kindergarten children presented roses to the graduates in the morning in the Shamrock Hall concluding with a dance to one of their favourite songs ‘Das Fliegerlied’.
The official celebration took place in the evening at UCD’s Astra Hall, where family, friends, and staff gathered for an emotional and inspiring occasion, filled with heartfelt speeches and beautiful musical contributions from our talented 12th class music class. This year, we were delighted to welcome Mr. Aengus Cox, an esteemed RTE journalist and a past pupil of St. Kilian’s (Class of 2002), as our keynote speaker. In his inspiring address, Mr. Cox reflected on his time at St. Kilian’s and shared valuable insights from his career in journalism. He encouraged the graduates to embrace their potential as critical thinkers, advising them ‘to not be afraid to question everything’. He concluded his speech with a quote from Eleanor Roosevelt: “Die Zukunft gehört denen, die an die Schönheit ihrer Träume glauben,” which translates to “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”
Congratulations to the Class of 2025! We wish them all the best for their bright future as they embark on the next chapter of their lives.
