Class 6A (back then 5A) took part in the 2025 FÍS Film Awards Competition and have been awarded the honour of “Highly Commended” for their fantastic stop motion film project ‘The Energy Saver’. The children are delighted with this special recognition and a Highly Commended certificate that reflects the outstanding creativity, effort, and talent demonstrated by the students. Congratulations to all our young filmmakers, and a special thank you to Mrs Bowen for her guidance and encouragement throughout the project!
The FÍS is a successful film project in primary schools across Ireland. The FÍS project ‘empowers teachers and children to explore the medium of film and digital media in the primary curriculum, developing the areas of active learning, creative thinking, language, imagination, collaborative learning and problem solving skills as well as giving children hands-on experience of using creative technology as part of the film making process.’
