A group of TY students recently took part in the Get Into GeoScience programme run by iCRAG (Research Ireland Centre for Applied Geosciences) at UCD, culminating in a final competition day after 12 weeks of research.
Over 150 students from three schools presented more than 70 projects. The day included career talks from geoscience professionals, project judging and a prize-giving ceremony. We are delighted that St. Kilian’s students won two of the four top awards. Congratulations to the award winners – Freya, Sofia, Caoimhe and Isabel, and to Phillip and Rishit on their winning entries.
All students represented the school superbly, with researchers highly praising the quality, engagement and standard of the St Kilian’s projects. A fantastic achievement by everyone involved.
