Yesterday afternoon, we gathered in the Astra Hall, UCD, to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our students throughout the past academic year. It was a wonderful occasion recognising hard work and dedication across all subject areas, alongside our Values Awards and Contribution to School Life Awards, which were presented to two students in each year group.
We were also proud to present the Helen Lennon and Connell Doris Perpetual Trophies to our Junior and Senior Sportspersons of the Year. These awards are dedicated in honour of our late tennis coach and P.E. and History teacher, whose contribution to school life is remembered with great fondness. Well done and congratulations to all students who received prizes and trophies.
The afternoon also saw the election of our new Heads of the Student Council, with four excellent candidates this year, Connie, Lily, Jan and Rosa. Congratulations to our newly elected Head Boy and Head Girl, Jan and Rosa, and a big thank you to our outgoing Heads, Thibaut and Ronan, for their fantastic leadership and commitment over the past academic year.
The Awards Afternoon remains one of the highlights of the school calendar and is always anticipated with great excitement. Thank you to Ms McCrea for organising such a memorable event, and special thanks to our talented student musicians for their wonderful musical performances.
