St. Kilian’s German School Dublin is hosting its annual Open Day for Kindergarten (Junior & Senior Infants), Primary and Secondary School on Saturday, 19 September 2026 from 11 am – 1 pm and is inviting all interested parents and students to visit our school, meet our teachers and students and enjoy a tour around our fantastic campus and modern facilities.
We welcome girls and boys of all nationalities, cultures and religions and offers a dynamic mix of the Irish and German educational traditions, preparing children for a European and global future. While we follow the Irish curriculum to Junior and Leaving Certificate, we place a strong emphasis on the German Language and offer a parallel curriculum (Sek-I) to those students able to pursue a course in a limited number of subjects through German.
Starting on the first day of school at the age of four, St. Kilian’s pupils learn German; however, prior knowledge of German or a German family background is not a requirement for any stage of entry to the Primary and Kindergarten School nor into 7th Class (1st Year Secondary School).

Shamrock Hall
Upon arrival, we kindly ask you to register in the Shamrock Hall, our multipurpose hall on the left-hand side as coming down towards the car park. You will receive some information material and will get the opportunity to meet the School Management and Secondary teachers from different departments, who are happy to share subject related information and answer your questions.
There will also be presentations to parents by the school management.
Assembly Area in Primary School
Subject teachers and staff from Primary School and Kindergarten (Junior Infants) will be in the Assembly area. There will be students and teachers in front of the Shamrock Hall guiding you to the Primary School/Kindergarten premises.
Tours
Visitors will have the opportunity to visit the school premises and to see the facilities. We will offer separate tours around both the Primary School/Kindergarten and our Secondary School. There will be no allocated timeslots for tours. Tours will be ongoing depending on interest. The starting/meeting point for tours for both Secondary and Primary School/Kindergarten will be in front of the Shamrock Hall. There will be tour signs and student helpers, who will provide directions.
Parking
There is parking available on the school grounds. However, we recommend using public transport or arriving early as Open Days tend to be very busy and parking might become limited.
