This year’s European Games for German Schools Abroad took place in Geneva, bringing together six teams from across Europe. Representing their respective schools and countries, the students competed in four disciplines: football, basketball, athletics and volleyball.
St. Kilian’s arrived in Geneva well prepared and delivered an impressive performance throughout the competition. The team demonstrated not only excellent sporting ability, but also determination, resilience and a strong sense of team spirit.
One of the highlights was the team’s outstanding victory in basketball. St. Kilian’s also achieved an excellent second place in athletics and secured a fantastic third place in volleyball. These results are a remarkable achievement and reflect the students’ hard work and commitment in the lead-up to the event.
Despite these successes, the competition was extremely close. St. Kilian’s ultimately finished third in the overall standings. Although the team narrowly missed out on a higher position, its performance across all four disciplines was truly commendable.
We are extremely proud of our team: Arianna, Matylda, Caoimhe, Sofia, Isabel, Vanessa, Felix, Alex, Sebastian, Joris, Andy, Tristan, Tadeusz and Ben. They represented St. Kilian’s with great enthusiasm, fairness and professionalism, both on and off the field.
