International Zero Discrimination Day on 1 March 2026, gave us a wonderful opportunity to dedicate the following week in the Primary School to a Zero Discrimination Week.
Under the motto “Different, Equal, Together,” children explored the themes of discrimination, belonging and community across different subjects. In lessons such as Ethics, PE, German and English, they engaged in a variety of age-appropriate activities that encouraged them to reflect on the meaning of respect, empathy and togetherness in everyday school life.
Through literature, discussion, role play and inclusive games, pupils were able to experience the topic from different perspectives, reflect on it thoughtfully, and connect it to their own lives within the school community.
A particularly visible part of the week was the creative design of posters for the classroom doors. Each class interpreted the motto in its own way, helping to create a strong message throughout the school: we are different, we are equal, and we belong together.
The Zero Discrimination Week was therefore far more than a short project – it was a meaningful expression of the values that shape our school community.
