Student Council

The Student Council of St. Kilian’s is the voice of the student body in the Secondary School. At the beginning of each school year, two students from each year are elected by democratic vote. The 6th year students take the roles of President and Vice President and they manage the Student Council. The secretary is chosen from the senior cycle to record the meetings and keep the minutes. The PR team is made up of a variety of students from different years that manage events and activities on behalf of the Student Council.

The Council concerns itself with a wide range of topics from maintenance issues to event organisation. This level of cooperation between Student Council and school management is extremely important for the development of the school.

FThe liaison teacher for the Council and the meetings that occur twice a month is Ms. McCrea. Our Principals attend several of the meetings.
