A group of our 8th Class students has just returned from a fantastic week-long trip to Cologne as part of our annual exchange programme with Liebfrauenschule Köln. During their stay, students stayed with host families and experienced school life at the Liebfrauenschule. Outside the classroom, students explored the vibrant cities of Cologne and Bonn. Activities included a visit to the impressive Cologne Cathedral, a city rally which helped discovering the many of Cologne’s famous landmarks in a fun way, and a tour of Beethoven’s Birthplace in Bonn, just to name a few. While in Boon, students also enjoyed a visit to the iconic Haribo Shop for some delicious German treats. The exchange provided a valuable opportunity for students to practise and improve their German language skills while making new friendships and creating lasting memories.
A massive Thank you to the host families, the staff and students of Liebfrauenschule Köln, and all those involved in organising this unforgettable experience. We now look forward to welcoming our German guests to St. Kilian’s for their return visit in September.
