This morning, we were delighted to welcome MEP Aodhán Ó Ríordáin to St. Kilian’s for an engaging Q&A session with our PolSoc students and interested Transition Year students.
The session focused on youth participation in politics, prompting a lively and thought-provoking discussion about the role of young people in political and civic life. Our students had the opportunity to put a wide range of questions to Mr Ó Ríordáin, who shared his experiences and perspectives as a Member of the European Parliament.
The discussion was brilliantly moderated by our Head Girl, Rosa, from 12th Class, who did a fantastic job guiding the conversation and facilitating the many questions from our students.
We would like to thank Mr Ó Ríordáin for taking the time to visit St. Kilian’s and for engaging so openly with our students. Also a thank you to our PolSoc students and TY students for their enthusiastic participation. It was a valuable opportunity to learn more about politics and to engage directly in discussion with an elected politician and a Member of the European Parliament.
