Congratulations to our TY students involved in the Unternehmen Deutsch project, an initiative run by the Goethe-Institut Irland.
Vanessa, Linda, and Freya won first prize in the school competition for their project and impressed the jury with their winning pitch developed for Audi under the motto “Challenge Accepted”.
The team had been selected as one of the finalists, and their pitch convinced a jury comprising members of the Chamber of Commerce, the Goethe-Institut, and diplomats from the German, Swiss, and Austrian embassies.
In the months leading up to the competition, our TY students from Frau Baum’s class visited companies such as Lindt, Allianz, Audi, and Lidl, and developed business pitches for them. It was a brilliant way to learn more about German businesses and language, while also honing their business skills.
The winning team received Audi-themed backpacks, goodies from the other partner companies, and will also receive €300.
