To mark World Kindness Day 2025, we welcomed Reuben the Entertainer, who delivered an engaging Comedy Performance ‘Pushed’ about peer pressure and bullying to our Junior Cycle students (7th–9th Classes). Through humour and interaction, Reuben encouraged the students to reflect on their everyday actions and their impact on others. Some of his key messages were “Be an Upstander, not a Bystander” and “It is cool to be just yourself”, which he delivered in a fun way. At the end the students wrote down how they can show kindness on post-its and shared them in a big heart. Thank you to Reuben for a morning full of laughter and learning.
We also held a 7th Class assembly where certificates were presented to students who have made a positive contribution to their peers and to school life. On Friday morning, the Student Council organised a bake sale in support of Jigsaw, a youth mental health charity. In addition, students took part in a Kindness Poster Competition, creating wonderful Posters that highlights the importance of kindness. The winning entries will be announced in the coming days.
Our younger children in Kindergarten were equally involved, learning about different ways how to show kindness and making beautiful cards to mark the day.
Well done to all involved!
