On Tuesday afternoon, 11th of November 2025, a group of Secondary students, Michael (12C), Thibaut (12C), Rosa (11A), Ivanna (Captain, 10A), and Max (7D), took part in the online Concern Debate against Presentation College Athenry. The motion for the debate was “Boycotting is the most effective way to end fast fashion.” Our team presented a strong case opposing the motion and were highly commended. Congratulations to the entire team and their teacher, Ms. Rafferty, for their hard work and success!
The group is now preparing for the final Concern online debate at the end of November, where they will take on the role of the proposition team to defend the motion “Global commitments to ending world hunger are a load of hot air.” We wish them the very best of luck!
