On Wednesday, November 5th, 2025, our U12 boys’ basketball team participated in the AIJS Tournament and delivered an excellent performance, proudly securing 4th place after a competitive day of action. The team showed determination, teamwork, and great spirit throughout all stages of the event.
In the group stage, St. Kilian’s made a strong start with convincing wins over Castle Park C (8–0) and St. Andrew’s B (8–0). They followed up with another solid victory against St. Gerald’s B (6–4), and a hard-fought draw against St. Gerald’s C (4–4). Despite a tough match against a very strong Castle Park A side (0–12), the boys advanced to the semi-finals thanks to their consistent effort.
The semi-final against Rathdown proved challenging, and St. Kilian’s were defeated 0–10, sending them to the 3rd/4th place playoff. In the final match of the day, the team battled bravely against St. Michael’s, ultimately finishing 4th after a 0–6 result.
The boys represented the school with pride, demonstrating resilience and excellent sportsmanship throughout the tournament. Well done to all players and their Coach Mr Arana for a fantastic achievement!
