🎬 It was an exciting morning for our TY students combining German language, culture and creativity! The students went to UCD Cinema to enjoy a screening of the German film 'Morgen Irgendwo am Meer' and had the fantastic opportunity to meet the film’s director, Patrick Büchting, for an engaging Q&A session. There were some brilliant questions about the inspiration behind the film, the filmmaking process and the challenges of bringing a story to life.
'Morgen Irgendwo am Meer' follows a group of friends on a road trip that unfolds as a journey of self-discovery, a quest to find their own paths in life, true love, and friendship. The film was awarded ‘Best German-Language Children’s and Youth Film’ at the 2024 Schlingel International Film Festival.
As filmmaking is one of our TY modules, this was a particularly valuable and inspiring experience for students interested in film and media production. A huge thank you to Director Patrick Büchting for sharing his insights with us, and to the German Embassy and Mr Strauchmann for making this wonderful opportunity possible!

🏃♀️ 🇪🇺 Over the past two weeks, our 3rd to 6th Class students have been taking part in the Run Around the E.U. Challenge! During PE lessons, students are encouraged to complete as many laps as they can. Our PE Department then adds up the laps and tracks our progress as we tick off E.U. capital cities along the way!
At the start of each week, we set ourselves a new target city and work together to see if we can reach it. So far, we’ve travelled virtually from Madrid all the way to Berlin! This week, our goal is Valletta, the capital of Malta. Can we make it? And will we reach our furthest E.U. capital, Nicosia? Keep up the fantastic work, everyone, every lap counts!

Macht weiter so – jede Runde zählt!
